The pic conveys the myriad of emotions I associate with fall. Fall weather is my favorite. i love the colors – red maple leaves and amber birch against a background of leaves that have not turned color yet and conifer evergreens. The reflection in the picture mirrors my reflection of another year passing. Too few remain. With the falling leaves, I am reminded of the friends that have fallen in the past year and the coming winter. But rather than lament time passing, I rest in in the pile of leaves I have raked, looking upward I take a moment to enjoy the clear blue sky as the cool crisp air fills may lungs and thank heaven for another year while I look forward to a snowball fight with the grandson, building a snowman before coming inside to be greeted by hot chocolate, walking on the lake on which we had explored in our boat, a fire in the fireplace on Christmas eve, Ice skating at the city rink, and finally the rebirth of the trees and garden in the spring.
